Marinus Van de Kamp Co-Owner / Estimator / Designer
Marinus achieved a Degree in Construction Technology at the MTS in Ede, The Netherlands in 1978. He worked in the construction field as a drafts person and project manager for commercial projects. He moved to the USA in 1987, where he became a co-owner of Landmark Enterprises in 1990. Marinus brings his extensive experience as a journeyman carpenter, draftsman, designer, estimator, and project manager to the Landmark team.
Kelly Longwell Co-Owner / Project Manager
Kelly earned a Degree in Industrial Management from Texas Tech. He worked in residential and commercial construction for 39 years, and founded Landmark Enterprises in 1984. Although well versed in all phases of construction, Kelly specializes in custom cabinetry, interior finish work, and Colonial and Victorian restorations. His work earned Landmark an award in 2005 for Excellence in Remodeling for Historic Renovation / Restoration given by the Building Industry Association of Washington. Kelly's exceptional proficiency as a job foreman, custom cabinet maker, and journeyman carpenter makes him a reliable asset to the Landmark team.
Christopher Grannis Co-Owner / Project Manager
Christopher worked in India with the Peace Corp for 2 years before returning to Washington State to pursue a higher education. He earned a degree from Western Washington State College in 1972. He has worked in a broad range of construction fields (both residential and commercial) for 34 years. After working in construction for 10 years, he founded Landmark Enterprises with Kelly in 1984. Throughout his career, he has deftly handled all phases of construction, both as a carpenter and a job foreman on jobs ranging from small residential remodels to large-scale commercial projects.
Omar Aranda Lead Carpenter
Omar has worked in a diverse array of residential and commercial construction since 2001. His experience in custom home building and residential and commercial remodeling makes this journeyman carpenter an outstanding addition to Landmark's building team.
Joel Clark Designer / Office Manager
Joel began his design career with Landmark in 2003 as an apprentice draftsman. After graduating from Mount Baker High School in 2002, he attended Edmonds Community Colleges' Construction Management program. There he learned CAD, estimating and took various classes on managing construction projects. Since then, he has worked alongside Marinus to become an essential element of Landmark's design/build team. In addition to his drafting and design, Joel constantly works to improve Landmark's organization and efficiency in both the field and the office.
Brandon Longwell Lead Carpenter
Brandon began working for Landmark Enterprises as a part-time apprentice carpenter in 1994. After earning a Degree in Psychology from WWU, he returned to Landmark and has worked as a journeyman carpenter and site supervisor since 2005. His experience in residential and commercial, cabinetry and finish work, has earned Landmark such accolades as the 2007 REX Award for Residential Kitchen $30,000-$60,000 given by the Building Industry Association of Whatcom County.
Chris Paulenich Subcontractor
Chris was first hired in 2004 and now works as a subcontractor for Landmark on a regular basis. He got his start as a carpenter building timber frame homes near Lake Tahoe, California. From there, he moved to Colorado, where he specialized in custom interior finish carpentry and cabinetry-- with several of his projects featured in trade and design magazines, including Colorado Homes and Lifestyles and Architectural Digest. Since moving to Bellingham, Chris has continued to expand his knowledge of all phases of construction, and today he excels at almost any job we can throw at him. Whether it is a small repair job or the complete design and construction of a new home, Chris has the hands-on experience to see the job through from the earliest phases of design all the way to the finishing touches.
Steven Orlich Subcontractor
Steven started with Landmark in 2000 as an employee and since 2003 has been a regular on the job site as a subcontractor. He has extensive experience in post / beam, log house and standard construction. Along with his framing experience, Steven also has a diverse background in cabinetry and finish work. He has over 30 years of experience construction industry.
Ken Peters Apprentice Carpenter
Ken has been with Landmark since 2007. His background includes 10 years at a company installing steel studs in commercial buildings and a 3 ½ year military service at Fort Drum in New York. Ken has spent the last few years here in Bellingham and worked at a local truss company before coming to Landmark as an apprentice carpenter.
